Psychologist Code of Ethics

The psychologist's ethical code applies to all psychologists practicing the profession of psychology in Mexico, whether or not members of the Mexican Society of Psychology. The Ethical Standards presented in the ethical code of psychologists are applied psychologists men and women, who are hereinafter referred to as the psychologist, and are not exhaustive, therefore the behaviors referred to in this Code Ethical principles are framed in general governed by a fundamental precept: "The psychologist is responsible for acting in the performance of their professional activities, academic and scientific, under a guiding principle that is at all times ensure the welfare of all individuals, groups or organizations that require its services, within the natural limits of the practice of psychology.

Pros

Respect the rights and dignity of people, trying not to denigrate in any way, is committed to responsibly care for all its activities and assumes greater responsibility to society and humanity.

I think one very important advantage is the respect they should have the right people, assumes a great responsibility in regard to the privacy of all data obtained from the subject and at the same time seeking personal freedom and justice for their patients, colleagues and society in general.

The psychologist must not only offer their services for a monetary order, but must show concern for the welfare and avoid any damage to a person, family, group or community.

Something that is important in my opinion, is that all activities are carried out according to their capabilities and must show valid documents that make such knowledge, in no way should also misrepresentation or fraudulent in a particular case may affect the patient.

To me that is honest psychologist in the aspect that should be recognized that cases can take on different grounds, is one of the most important advantages of the ethical code.

The company is benefiting as a patient in one of the advantages of the code of ethics: To receive information on results that facilitate clear interpretation not only by the individual but also of other professionals in the field of psychology.

At the time that the psychologist was questioned about his activities carried out, it should respond as clearly as possible, unhindered and without answers that lend themselves to misunderstanding.

The psychologist must not engage in sexual intimacies with current patients or clients and should not influence patients to complete the therapeutic process without a reason that is valid through.

Cons

Ignorance or misunderstanding of an ethical standard does not constitute a defense to a complaint or indictment for misconduct or ethical violations. I consider it one of the cons or actual disadvantage to the psychologist, assuming that the code is not aesthetic and that changes may be rules that were established and a psychologist fails and has legal problems.

With the exception of rape, I get a penalty so exaggerated to suspend the license to practice.

He who has a great weight on the negative effects psychologist to apply some kind of instrument to a subject.

That in a way, the psychologist has to agree to display records or records of the patient to authorities so require.

You can not have multiple relationships with colleagues or patients.

That patients can be monitored with your permission, to be recorded by the psychologist through an electronic recording.
