The "no-Do" De Francisco Camps
At first, I confess, I felt a bit silly. It was when an old friend, watching at home the news of Canal Nou, said: "It reminds me-DO NOT under Franco."
He was referring to that woman newsreel, was before television, which mandated projects all theaters before movies pass. It offered a syrupy and enthusiastic picture of the political regime and the majority of viewers are getting the saved just before the opening credits of the film was going to see.
"That is an outrage" would respond to my friend when I realized that President Camps out for the third time in the Telenotícies on an issue as inconsequential as the previous two.
I know that Valencia is not the only public television subservient to power. At the end of the day, and although the law that created them say something else, that seems to be his mission everywhere. Among other reasons, because their large deficits are borne by the public administrations, ie by citizens through our taxes.
If that happens at any time of year, it becomes even more evident when approaching the election period. This year, having advanced the deadline for politicians to beat promoted official ceremonies, last week we suffered bleeding genuine public openings each one more pilgrim, collected on time all the various news feeds.
I do not know, I admit, if someone is dedicated minutaje perform consistently on the emergence of different political Canal Nou. During the brief period when I turned to journalism education in Barcelona, students had to time the television coverage of some events to draw conclusions then.
No need, however, no quantitative measurement, but that it can see at a glance, never better, the overwhelming presence on screen Francisco Camps, and logic to a lesser extent, its councilors. In contrast, the socialist leader George Alart hardly appears as a mere helper. And say nothing of the other politicians of the opposition, almost clandestine characters all in our public television.
The same could apply to those critical issues in the news often missing from RTVV, although many of them are similar, it must be said, to what happens in other Spanish regions. But the best example is that something that concerns both our Community and the Gürtel case has been less discussed here than in other television, and on the rare occasions when he has done has always been key exculpatory to the authorities charged.
It's not worth insisting on it not to be dismissed as sectarian, although one possesses the key to why things are so and not otherwise.
This week, just a month and a half of the next election, RTVV has had to seek a new term loan of 32.5 million to pay previous loans coming due now. Who will support the public entity to deal with this new debt?: For a Consell that although overwhelmed by his need to cut expenses, such as Snow White's stepmother asks every day to Canal Nou: "Mirror, mirror, is there anyone else beautiful than me? "
The mirror TV is well aware that if I ever get to say yes, it will shatter, and things to eat, you know, do not play.
