Local SEO Gets Sexy

I do not know if you've been in a long line or not. If so you probably remember online marketers turned their backs on local customers in the 80's. The conviction was the internet would bring a whole world of customers to their doors. Finally, the little man could compete on a global scale, just like big business.

"Think Big". has become the mantra of the day. Local Internet Marketing has been abandoned. Business owners across the nation turned cold local customers online. Basically an attitude of not wanting to be 'bothered' with local inquiries permeated net commerce.

Well, like mini-skirts, VW bugs, and funds bell ... pursuing online relationships with local customers, has become hot again. It 'a return. In a big way.

Some companies noticed the real purchasing trends. They came to their senses. And we are put to profit from these trends.

It should now be obvious to anyone with half a brain that most (if not all) communities here in the U.S. have more money that passes through them that many individual countries. If this does not turn on firms not know what will happen. Of course I want to turn them on local SEO jumping on the bandwagon that is growing and growing fast.

Both Microsoft and Google are fighting for control of local search marketing, providing its own version of the mapping services. Their products are respectively Microsoft Virtual Earth and Google Earth

Both companies know the winner of this battle will gain a foothold in the important arenas Local Search Engine Marketing. I'm not after one or two communities, who want all.

Ok, that's why you should care about the local SEO company as ...

70% of local searches (vs. portals) are provided by search engines. This is huge. Few companies are getting their share of local searches. They are buried deep into search engines, where almost nobody can find. And worse, some companies still have no web presence at all.

When making a comeback trends tend to be short-lived. The miniskirt is fashionable (I miss that), VWs are still 'nice', but likely to move away into oblivion as soon as the glass is not the most exciting news, and interest in bell-bottom pants back is completely Dead (I'm so happy for this because I hated being a child forced to wear jeans Bell Bottom ugly when they were hot again in the 70's disco era).

I predict Local SEO not dying though. Only the opportunities for small businesses die. Two things cause this. The first is big business pressure on SMEs by. And the second is web spammers have noticed what is going on between Google and Microsoft and they too have entered the race for the local domain SEO. So even the local search sites are becoming inundated with crap and false content designed to capture the attention of researchers in all communities.

Owners of small businesses around the world will become victims of this new war, local web marketing. Just as the deep pocket companies dominate global markets online, will soon dominate even local searches.

One way to avoid being pushed into obscurity is to obtain a good location for local searches hour. In this way more spam sites and large businesses started by typing in your domain, you have already established themselves as a valuable resource for billions in local web surfers.

I'm kidding. It 's so 90. Have you established as a valuable resource for local web surfers do not care how long this 'fashion' hard.
