How to connect a hidden spy camera

For those who are technologically challenged, like me, to connect any type of equipment has always been problematic. I know I am not alone. So, here are instructions in detail.

First read the instructions. I know that most guys are against this basic necessity. It 'a macho thing. Once we have that out of the way you are ready to rock.

For the purposes of this article we are going to call the place where you stored the hidden-camera 'home'.

For CAMERA WIRED:

1. Turn on the camera by connecting the male plug from the power supply to the female plug from the camera tag. These plugs are wires coming from the back of the machine.

2. Connect the video output of the cameras to the recording device. This is done by connecting a cable between the RCA female connector on the wires coming from the back of the camera and labeled the video input on your recording device.

3. If using a VCR may need to adjust the video input, see note below.

Note.
To set the VCR video input.

1. After turning on the VCR, connect to your television via coaxial cable or RCA-type cables.

2. Then connect a cable between the TV and VCR Out "Antenna Input" TV.

3. Turn on the TV set on channel 3.

4. Play all the movies on your VCR to check and make sure the VCR is connected properly.

5. Using the remote control of VCR, go to "AU" (Auxiliary Input) mode or "Line In" mode usually found below channel 2. Others can access the VCR mode "AU" by pressing the "Input" button.

For a wireless camera:

1. Turn on the camera / transmitter connecting the power cord from the "home" in a wall outlet. The camera is internally powered and requires no other connections.

2. If using a VCR may need to adjust the video input, see note below.

After the camera is connected, set the receiver.

1. Connect the receiver to the mains 12v. This is the black box with a white arrow on it. On the side, turn the power switch to ON. (LED indicator should be)

2. Connect the video output of the receiver to the recording device. This is done by plugging a patch cable between the RCA yellow connector on the front of the receiver and a video input on your recording device.

3. At this point you should be able to see the video images from the camera.

4. The camera system has a line 1000ft range of view. If the signal is not clear, move the receiver to see if reception improves. The receiver has an "Arrow" on it and must be addressed in the general direction of the camera for best performance.

Note.
To set the VCR video input.

6. After turning on the VCR, connect to your television via coaxial cable or RCA-type cables.

7. Then connect a cable between the TV and VCR Out "Antenna Input" TV.

8. Turn on the TV set on channel 3.

9. Play all the movies on your VCR to check and make sure the VCR is connected properly.

10. Using the remote control of VCR, go to "AU" (Auxiliary Input) mode or "Line In" mode usually found below channel 2. Others can access the VCR mode "AU" by pressing the "Input" button.
