Writing Tips - Effective Ads - PPC

Write your ads to this main point in mind, one of the most important aspects of writing effective ads for pay-per-click advertising, is to remember why they are advertising. It is not always the case that one wishes to sell a product or traffic units.

It all depends on what you hope to achieve with the campaign. If you want to sell a product, then make sure that your ad is already encouraging that mind set, the potential customer who clicks on the ad.

However, if you're using your PPC ads to drive traffic through your website, copy and then write that. Remember, you want the conversion in that case, rather than a few visitors. Having to first write your ads can be quite daunting, there will undoubtedly be looking around to see how other people build their ads.

This is a good way to start. It will give you some ideas on what others are doing about their campaigns. But it would be unwise to copy word for word, every line of them!

Some tips to start:

1) Make sure you write your copy, rather than following other advertisers. You do not want your ads to look and sound like everyone elses script. While observing others, you will be able to ascertain what should work now, still want and need for yours to stand out from the crowd.

2) Try to incorporate seasonal events to create ads in real time. Whether it's a holiday, Valentine's Day or Christmas Day, make use of these days, perhaps by offering special holiday celebrated. The CTR (click through rate) and the sale is better served when you connect to current events around you.

3) Do not forget to include keywords, as they are more important. If you have a special flash drive, do not forget to mention the words flash drive, this should of course be obvious, but sometimes we overlook the obvious, stranger things have happened!

Or, if you are advertising accommodation for an event like the Cricket World Cup, then mention the event. It will certainly be noticed by the researcher, and bold, it will show the keyword.

4) PPC ads (pay per click) allow you to target your ads based on the general position. The new target your market suddenly becomes local. Put this to good use! People respond well to ads that inform us there is a supplier in their area.

And even if they are in their area who will appreciate the gesture that is their destination. You will be able to save money and increase your click through rate, simply geo-targeting your audience.

5) The capitalization can be used to help attract a higher CTR (click through rate) also. You can do this by simply capitalizing the first letter of each word in the URL. Will significantly increase traffic, after having demonstrated several times in the past.

6) When you select the URL, always show caution! Use a web site address real and recognizable for the first part, and then the ending may be different, showing an interest in the product you are trying to market.

As I said earlier, can be daunting to try to write advertising copy, and perhaps even more so when you do not have that many words to play with. How do you pass all the many great benefits of your offer in so few characters?

Do not be put on all this, however, continue to test to see what works for you and your campaign. The practice you get to the end, you will soon become very efficient. Good luck guys! ......
