If you rent a car while staying in Mexico City here are some general tips to guide you before you book your rental car. Learn about the 24-hour roadside assistance. Many car rental agencies offer this as an addition.

Ask for a pick. Some car rental companies will pick you up at the airport (or elsewhere) and take you to the car. While most car rental companies offers insurance, your own car insurance cover a person may rental car. Ask your auto insurance agent before renting a car and pay for additional insurance.

You must be 25 years or older to rent a car in the majority of car rental agencies. The car rental office has many additional charges for drivers. Therefore, if you do not need more than one person, you can save money.

For example, in an income of one day, return the car after the 24 hours allowed an extra can add you. The car rental companies only can give you a grace period of one to two hours if you spend that time, they will charge more.

If you rent a luxury car or SUV, your credit card can not provide collision coverage. Please consult directly with your bank (early) with respect to what type of rental cars will be covered.
