Be careful with Over-Optimize Your Site

In this article I will be talking about over-optimization for search engines mistake that many new bloggers and webmasters.

You're probably familiar with the term "search engine optimization" (also known as SEO), is not it? It is a set of techniques aimed at optimizing a Web site to maximize traffic it receives from search engines.

It is easy to learn the basics of SEO, if you spend a few hours of your time researching on the web. Here is a brief summary of them:

- You must have useful and unique content.

- You must have quality backlinks and related web sites.

- The title tags should be unique and must contain the main keywords.

- Your permalinks should be based on key words rather than symbols.

- Your site should not have many folders and pages should be linked to each other.

If you follow these guidelines will soon be getting a good amount of traffic from Google.

But you should be especially careful not to over-optimize your site. This is a mistake that often make the new bloggers and webmasters.

These are some of the most common forms of over-optimization search engines usually see:

1 .- Repeat the main keywords again and again in the body of the article to increase the density of keywords.

2.-Use fonts too bold and italics in the main keywords of the page.

3 .- Create footer links with optimized anchor texts pointing to internal pages artificial.

4 .- Getting inbound links (backlinks) from low quality sources (eg, directories and blogs dofollow - DoFollow technically there is the absence of the "nofollow" a link) with optimized anchor texts and artificial.

5 .- Having too many backlinks with the same anchor text.

6 .- Exchange, or purchase low-quality links or Web sites unrelated.

These techniques can work in the short term, but just as people will find your site faster, search engines may also see an increase in search rankings and organic traffic.

But after some time, usually a couple of days, Google robots mark the site as a site over-optimized and a human editor will review it. If the editor believes that the website owner is trying to manipulate Google search results using over-optimization techniques, the site will be penalized and lose your ranking and traffic from Google.

Google is one of the best sources of traffic that you can have, so do not risk the reputation of your site trying to over-optimization. Follow the basic guidelines for SEO and organic traffic will increase gradually.
