Find a CPA - local or online?

What is a CPA?

The CPA is the abbreviation of a Certified Public Accountant. This means that the accountant has taken a system of accounting courses in college then received a degree from a university and a series of tests to demonstrate competence in accounting.

Some states require that the person show a certain period of time working in public accounting firms.

What is a Public Company Accounting?

It is a corporate accounting which has at least one or more CPA who work that can provide accounting services attest. This means that they can prepare financial statements that attest to the veracity of the numbers presented. This can be done to prepare compiled, reviewed or audited the financial statements.

How to find a CPA

If you're a king trying to find a CPA you might ask a friend who used to look in the phone book or do a search on the internet.

The advantage of asking a friend, is that they can tell if they are satisfied with the services that the CPA provides. Although often what you need and what you friend could not be different.

The search phone book can not give you enough information to make an informed descision and it is not an independent source.

My advice would be groped an internet search and found some articles which, though written by the CPA and see if they can give you an aha or at least explain something clearly. This is because the primary task of the CPA should be to communicate with you and explain financial and tax issues.

Then I would suggest that you should pick up the phone and give the CPA a call or send an e-mail. If you do not get a quick answer then you may have just discovered that it can be difficult to achieve.

If you have any questions please leave a comment and I'll try to help .......
